2020—2023
Welcome. My name is Tré Seals, and in the context of this page, I am a research-based designer with a passion for storytelling. At the age of 20, I made a pact with myself that by the time I was 25, I would become an internationally respected designer because I believed that design could change the world (for the better). More importantly, I wanted to be a part of that change. However, somewhere along the way, I realized that not every design studio/agency wanted to create said positive change. So by the time I turned 25, I started my own studio and made a new pact with myself. This time, I decided to be the change that I could no longer wait for others to create. ¶
I made this pact a reality by starting a diversity-driven font foundry called Vocal Type, and by taking on culturally significant projects like the ones you may see below. I hope you enjoy reading the stories behind these projects, and I look forward to working with you. ¶
